Sparkle Punch

Sparkle Punch - 12AU7 Tube Boost/Mosfet Boost

Sparkle Punch Tube Boost
The Sparkle Punch is two pedals in one. Unlike some dual channel pedals, the Sparkle Punch offers two distinct true bypass circuits that can be used independently or together. On one side, we have a Mosfet based clean boost that adds a hint of treble presence to your sound. The other channel uses a 12AU7 tube for a little grit and warmth. When used together, the boosted clean signal pushes the old stock RCA tube into a smooth tube overdrive. There is an output level for both channels as well as a knob to control the "grit" of the dirty channel.

The Sparkle Punch was used by J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr in a recording session for a Mojo Magazine compilation and players around the world enjoy it's vintage tones. Another satisfied customer: "sounds great! The boost side is wonderfully clear... The tube side has just the right amount of touch responsiveness and a tweedy mojo without being muddy."

Big Top Treble Boost

Big Top Germanium Treble Boost
The Big Top Treble Boost takes your tone and gives it dirt and definition to cut above the mix. A little bit sweet and a little bit nasty, it's based around the Germanium OC44 transistor and features a three way Range Selector offering treble, high treble and mid boost settings. Great before a fuzz or overdrive!

Hand built point to point on a terminal strip in Austin TX.  9V battery or negative power supply only.

Draco Fuzz - Germanium/Silicon Hybrid Fuzz

Draco Fuzz - Germanium/Silicon Fuzz Pedal
The Draco Fuzz combines the sweet sustain and gnarly harmonics of a true germanium fuzz with the aggressive, saturated tone of a modern silicon fuzz.

Setting your volume with a fuzz pedal can be difficult in live situations. That's why I gave this pedal a simple, straightforward design: A wide range of output volume and a big knob that you can easily turn with your foot. The second knob adjusts the bias of the transistor network. Increasing the power offers a wide, round sound, while starving the power results in a sputtery, buzzing fuzz. You turn turn the bias knob all the way back and the transistor will cut off until you make a sound - kind of like a noise gate

The boxes are painstakingly etched, painted, and sanded one by one, and each pedal is hand wired point to point on terminal strips in Austin, Texas. All this makes this fuzz pedal an incredible deal at $139.

dB Boost - Mosfet Boost Pedal

dB Boost - Mosfet Boost Pedal
The dB boost provides clarity and plenty of gain while remaining true to the guitar's original tone.

The circuit (which is the same as the clean side of the Sparkle Punch) employs a BS170 Mosfet transistor to pump up your guitar tone either for a solo or to drive other effects after it. Alpha pots, Panasonic capacitors, true bypass and hand wired in Austin, Texas.
